How we handle your information.
This notice explains how personal information submitted through tenfold-uganda.comis collected, used and retained. The site is a ceremonial digital companion presented alongside the visit of the Permanent Secretary of Uganda’s Ministry of Finance, commissioned by the High Commission of Uganda to the United Kingdom and produced by Clixels.
Who is responsible
Two parties are involved in handling information submitted via this site:
- The High Commission of Uganda to the United Kingdom (Uganda House, 58–59 Trafalgar Square, London WC2N 5DX) is the intended recipient of investment-interest submissions and any follow-up conversation.
- Clixels Ltd (the site’s technology partner) receives, stores and forwards submissions to the High Commission on its behalf, and operates the underlying infrastructure.
For any request about your data you may contact Clixels at louis@ferraiolo.co.uk or the High Commission at info@ugandahighcommission.co.uk.
What we collect
- Register Interest form: name, organisation, email address, country, sector interest, optional message, and your stated consent. An institutional-investor indicator if you provide it.
- AI assistant page (“Ask”): the text of questions you submit. Questions are processed by a third-party language-model provider (Anthropic) to generate an answer and are not associated with identifiable details.
- Technical: standard server and CDN logs (IP address, timestamp, request path, user-agent) generated automatically by AWS CloudFront and Lambda for security and operational purposes.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when fonts are served.
Why we use it
- To respond to your investment enquiry through the High Commission.
- To provide the AI-assistant function and log basic usage for reliability and abuse prevention.
- To maintain a record of consent where required.
We do not use submissions for marketing, nor do we share them with third parties beyond the parties named in section 01 and the infrastructure providers in section 05.
Our lawful basis
Where you submit the Register Interest form, our lawful basis for processing is your consent, recorded at the time of submission. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing the addresses in section 01 — withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place beforehand.
For server and CDN logs, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely.
Where your information is processed
Infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the eu-west-2 (London) region. Outbound email uses Amazon SES. The AI assistant uses the Anthropic API, which may process query text outside the UK under standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Register Interest submissions are retained for up to 24 months from submission, or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner.
- Server and CDN logs are retained for up to 90 days.
- “Ask” question text is retained for up to 30 days for operational review and then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to object to processing; and to restrict or receive a copy of your information. You may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
To exercise any of these rights, contact the addresses in section 01.
